NASC & Complete Autocare Fun Day
For the BBC's Children in Need
This was the second year that Roy and Michelle Walker from Complete Autocare had put on the Fun Day for Children in Need and the NASC were more than happy to support the event once again.

With a start time of 12 Midday it wasn't long before the car park at the back of the Garage was full with everything from a 32 Rat Rod to a nearly new Aston Martin, such is the popularity of the event, and it was good to see a variety of Race cars turn up to complete the mix.
A raffle to win a Car, a weekend in Barcelona and a Family pass for the NASC Springnats had been on the go for nearly a month before the event and had proved to be popular. A raffle on the day for smaller prizes was a huge success with the Zoom club members present all trying to win the heated blanket to make late nights more comfortable at the Bar.

Three Auctions on the night saw folk battling for signed photos of top celebrities including a genuine signed pic of the Governor of California himself Arnie.
The night was rounded of with a fantastic band called High Mileage and you'll be seeing more of them at Drayton Manor this year and the Nats in August, and trust me they are well worth seeing.
A big thank you must go to Roy and Michelle from Complete for putting this on, to everyone who attended and to all those companies and individuals for donating such great prizes for the raffles and auctions, and lastly our Von for being my glamorous assistant for the day.
Lets hope this event is on again for next year and raising money for such great charities.

Last year raised just over a thousand pound, but in 2008 we smashed that with a total of £1,560 going to this years BBC Children in Need, well done everybody.
